The title seems to be interesting and so the place is. This restaurant is based on the novel concept of stock exchanges. Two enthusiastic youngsters from the financial background, Himanshu Gupta and Vidit Gupta came up with a different vision of not just a regular bar but something which is quirky as a concept and interesting to play around.

Cafe Dalal Street is having a huge area of 5000 sq. feet with a seating capacity of 100 people and capacity to in-house 350 pepped up on the dance floor in prime Central Delhi location. The seating is done in a way which looks comfortable. The ambience is truly a depiction of Dalat Street in Mumbai. The led tickers and TV screens all across make the space very lively interactive and buzzy thereby enriching the experience of being in a real stock market.

You might be confused thinking about, What is the use of this concept? So, here’s the answer. Drinks start at a base price and are governed by the laws of demand and supply. Based on frequency of order and the time periods within which different customers place orders, the demand of a particular drink, wine or beer grows or declines and the prices go up or down.
Once every day, the market crashes as well, so customers can trade their favourite drinks and purchase at rock bottom prices. Trading then begins all over again from this new set base price.

Thanks to Head Chef Mr. Hemant Singh for giving us such wonderful and interesting dishes. The menu also flaunts innovative beverages, with options in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic categories. In fact some of the drinks like Purple Ale, Desi Ultron, Eliminator in ‘Signature Pitcher’ category of the menu has mood changing abilities – must to pep one up.

I tried out many and found a few worth mentioning. Bankruptcy (JD silver select, Maraschino, Vermouth Rosso and Bombay), Zombie Street (Rum, Orange, Pineapply and Spice Bitters), Dutch Investment (Gin, berries and cardamom), The Wolf  Punch (Apple Vinegar, Strawberry Vodka, Clove, and Orange), Chocolate Martini (Rum, Chocolate and Vanilla) along with some really killer shots like Pornstar (Vodka, Blue Curacao and Raspberry), Dalal Street Special Jagerbomb are a few you must try out!

For the North Indians food lovers the menu has everything right from the dishes like Chicken Malai Tikka to Butter Chicken to Maa Ki Daal which can be savoured.

Far beyond this CDS also has a selection of Pizzas, Burgers, Sandwiches, Pastas along with Risottos which includes some scrumptious snacking options like Perreroni Pizza, Mongolian Fried Chicken Burger, Chicken Melt Sandwich, Penne, Spaghetti and the delights of BBQ and other veg-non veg choices.
